Floyd Henry

In 2017, COPS ministry lost another dear friend. Brother Floyd Henry went home to be with the Lord. Floyd was a faithful servant and committed associate to COPS ministry.

Floyd enjoyed traveling with the team to Arkansas, Arizona, and Nevada where he ministered to men and women incarcerated in the prisons.

Floyd had a knack for barbequing. He volunteered his services when COPS ministry hosted events where we fed those attending our events. Floyd retired from the Los Angeles Police Department after 25 years of service. He was hired on as a Range Master for the Riverside Police Department for approximately eight years and he retired in July 2016.

Rick Albee

In 2015, COPS ministry lost a dear friend. Brother Rick Albee went home to be with the Lord. Rick was a faithful servant and committed associate to COPS ministry.

He ministered to men incarcerated in California, Arkansas, Arizona and to women incarcerated in Nevada. He also ministered to the men at U Turn for Christ and he was invited to several men conferences associated with churches.

Rick had an incredible testimony! He was involved in an “Officer involved shooting” where his partner was killed. Rick exchanged gunfire with the suspect and Rick killed the suspect. It was the look of terror in the suspect’s eyes that scared Rick causing him to realize that he too needed a Savior. That shooting caused Rick to search for someone or something to fill that empty void in his heart. He was invited to a couples conference and it was there that he received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. Rick retired from the Riverside Police Department as a Lieutenant after 29 years of service.

Rick’s Bio…

Rick is a former police lieutenant with 29 years of service.  He is the recipient of the police department’s highest accolade, the Medal of Valor, as well as the State of California Attorney General’s Certificate for Valor.

His testimony has been published many times, including the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association Decision Magazine, and the documentary of Rick’s testimony has been the most requested program on Riverside’s local public television for several years.

He has been a featured speaker at many venues, including:

  • Harvest Crusades,
  • Sandals Church men’s conference,
  • Forest Home men’s conference,
  • Mount Rubidoux Easter Sunrise Service, Riverside, CA,
  • Peace Officers, Firefighters For Christ conferences,
  • Shield of Faith Ministries,
  • Prison and half-way-house ministries in California and Arizona.

as well as numerous other Bible studies, conferences and services.  Rick is a highly enthusiastic, engaging speaker—his audience never goes to sleep!

Rick and his wife Mary of 42 years have two grown children and four grandchildren.  They make their home in Riverside, California, where Rick is currently the President of DataChasers®, a computer forensics company.

Clarence Dodson

For part of my childhood life, I grew up in the City of Compton, California. I am the second to the youngest of eight children. Our house was always busy with all of us kids going from one sporting event to another.

My parents were both strong Christians and very involved in the church. I was blessed to attend Christian Schools throughout my school years. Therefore, I was able to come to know the Lord at an early age.

It was a slow process to mature in my Christian walk. As I grew into a man, I continued to attend church. However, at one point in my early years as an adult, I found myself drifting away from God. Although I tried running from Him, God never took his hands off of me. It was not until my father went home to be with the Lord, that he loved so dearly that I realized God had a calling on my life. I always knew God wanted something more out of me than I was giving Him. That is when I began to reconnect with God and get back into the church.

Now I’m a little older and a little wiser, however, I do have a lot more to learn. God has been so good to me, better than I will ever be. Through it all, God has kept me safe and has allowed me to provide for my family. He has allowed me to be a police officer for 11 years. I have been blessed with a beautiful wife and two wonderful children. I have a future that I am so excited for. God truly has something in store for everyone. It is up to each individual to find their way and persevere through the trenches while letting God lead the way. May God shine a guiding light on you and your family.
