COPS Blotter December 2021

Greetings,
On behalf of Cops Out Preaching Salvation, we want to express our gratefulness to all of you who have and continue to pray for us, encourage us and bless us financially with your continued offerings. COPS Ministry has been diligent ministering to men and women at U-Turn for Christ. Several men and women have given their lives to Jesus and several others have made decisions to rededicate their lives to the Lord this year.
Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 a lot of prisons have closed their doors which has kept us from ministering like we love to do.
As soon as the California Institution for Men (C.I.M.) Chino Prison opened back up we had members of our team back inside holding a Sunday chapel service on the second Sunday of every month and now these services are on-going.
In 2021, the Arizona State Prison facilities opened their doors back up for outside ministries to come in and start holding services again.
In November, a team of associates from COPS Ministry went to four different prisons and held six different services. The team ministered to 402 inmates, 47 men gave their lives to Jesus Christ for the first time and 68 men rededicated their lives to the Lord! It was a blessing to get back in and share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
As the doors continue to re-open, we will continue answering our call (Matthew 25:36) to visit those in prison. Everyone deserves another chance in life, especially having the opportunity to hear the gospel.
It was about 16 years ago when COPS Ministry made our first contact to the lead chaplain in Arizona introducing our ministry to him. We asked if we could visit some of the prisons there and hold chapel services. The lead chaplain said he would send our request to his chaplains to see if any of them were willing to host us. As it was told to us, one chaplain by the name of Leonard Grammar decided to give us an opportunity to minister at Phoenix West. Ever since then several other prisons in Arizona have blessed us by opening their doors for us to come in and share the gospel. A few years back, Chaplain Grammar retired from Phoenix west Prison and answered the call to pastor Mountain of Life Church in Surprise Arizona.
On September 29, 2021, our dear friend and brother in Christ, Pastor Leonard Grammar went home to be with the Lord. He left behind a daughter, son-in-law and grandchildren and his congregation at Mountain of Life Church in Surprise Arizona. He was a wonderful Christian man who loved the Lord and had a heart for inmates and ex-offenders. Brother Grammar will be greatly missed but we know that we will see him one day when we all get to heaven.
This year alone even during the shutdowns due to COVID-19, COPS Ministry has ministered to 779 men and women, 57 of them made first time decisions to receive Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior and 112 of them have rededicated their lives to the Lord.
In closing, we look forward to 2022 pursuing our mission and sharing the gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Blessings,
Ken Tutwiler
