COPS Blotter February 2018

On February 10, 2018 members from COPS ministry responded to Arkansas for their 17th year in a row.  The team ministered in Cummins Prison, Brickeys Prison, Ouachita River Prison, Little Tucker Prison and Wrightsville Prison.  The team held six church services.  They ministered to 471 people, 19 received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and 46 rededicated their lives to the Lord.  We praise God for what He had done.  It was great seeing God work in so many lives as He did.

It was interesting in one service we had to see an inmate so agitated by the fact that police officers were conducting the service that he did everything he could to get up and leave.  Finally the count was over and he left the service.  He didn’t stick around long enough to see that we were not there to judge him but to share the love of Jesus Christ to him.  Many other inmates came up to us and thanked us for coming all the way out from California to minister to them.  Some of the inmates were fron San Bernardino, Riverside and Northern California.

It was also great to see our friend brother Lewis Jared who lives in Arkansas.  He went into the prisons with us as he does every year we travel back to minister in Arkansas.  On our final night, he blessed the team with BBQ ribs, chicken, hot links, southern green beans, mac and cheese, banana pudding and bunt cake.  He is a huge supporter of COPS ministry and really shows his appreciation to us for what we do.

Thanks for all of your support and may God bless you.
